We call this wonderful reality “salvation.” We’ve been freed from our slavery to sin and brought into an eternal relationship with God through Jesus.

WHO SHOULD BE BAPTIZED?

Baptism follows belief. If you have put your faith in Jesus to be your Savior and Lord you should be baptized.

Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41; Acts 10:47-48

WHY SHOULD WE BE BAPTIZED?

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward reality. Water baptism symbolizes the power of salvation. Through repentance our sins have been buried with Jesus and put to death, (immersion in water). Through faith in Jesus we join in His resurrection and begin a new life, (emerging from the water).Baptism is also a public declaration of God’s grace and commitment to live a new life. Baptism does not erase sin. Only Jesus has the power to take away our sin.

Romans 6:3-4; 1 Peter 3:21

WHEN SHOULD WE BE BAPTIZED?

Once a person has put their faith in Jesus, baptism can follow immediately. We believe it is important for those being baptized to understand their salvation and baptism.

HOW SHOULD WE BE BAPTIZED?

The example we have in the New Testament of water baptism is through immersion in water. The immersion is symbolic of Christ’s saving work.
